Visitors can also take a scenic Wilderness Express Train. For a small fee, you can ride on a train that travels through a wooded area of the zoo.  This train is perfect for children up to age five.

In addition to the train, the zoo has a zip line that is 110 feet high. The zip line is one of the newer attractions at the zoo.

The Nashville Zoo is also home to a 35-foot-tall tree house. The Grassmere Historic Home, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Homes, is also located at the zoo. Tours of the zoo are included with admission.

The Nashville Zoo also features a variety of seasonal tours. These are especially fun for families. During these tours, you'll learn more about the animals. A list of tours can be found on the zoo's website.

In addition to the tours, the zoo has hands-on exhibits. For example, visitors can learn about poison arrow frogs. Kids can also climb a giant net.

Visitors can also rent an electric scooter for a quick drive around the zoo. There are also snack stands on site. However, you should avoid bringing glass into the zoo.
