A Menu Rooted in Tradition, Elevated with Innovation

Chef Brenfleck,  a seasoned veteran of Philadelphia's culinary world and former Executive Chef of Rittenhouse's Spice Finch, draws inspiration from his family heritage and Poland's rich culinary traditions. The restaurant's name is a heartfelt tribute to his maternal grandfather, Walter Bubick, affectionately known as "Little Walter," whose parents immigrated from Eastern Europe.

Little Walter's menu is a testament to Chef Brenfleck's passion for Polish cuisine. Classic dishes like pierogi, kielbasa, and sourdough rye bread are reimagined with a contemporary flair, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients and modern techniques.

Some standout dishes include the Pierogi Ruskie, filled with Yukon gold potatoes and farmer's cheese and served with caramelized onions, house pickles, and Pilsudski mustard. The Kotler z Kurczaka, a reimagined chicken cutlet with powder (plum jam), mustard, and asparagus, showcases the chef's creative approach to traditional flavors.

Craft Cocktails Inspired by Polish Heritage: The bar program at Little Walter's is equally impressive, offering a curated selection of craft cocktails named after Polish professionals. Each libation is a tribute to Polish heritage, incorporating spirits and liqueurs native to the country. Guests can sip on unique creations like the "Urbanista," a blend of Żubrówka Bison Grass Vodka and Żubr beer, or the "Alchemiczka," featuring bison grass vodka and Baba's Bucha Strawberry Fields Forever Kombucha.

Warm Hospitality and Intimate Atmosphere: With its exposed brick walls, warm lighting, and cozy seating, Little Walter's creates an intimate and welcoming dining atmosphere. The restaurant's 1200 sq. ft. space features a dining room with 32 seats and a bar area with 14 seats, perfect for a romantic date night or a casual gathering with friends.

A Culinary Destination in East Kensington: Little Walter's is quickly establishing itself as a culinary destination in East Kensington, attracting foodies and curious diners eager to experience a fresh perspective on Polish cuisine.
