What's So Special About Barclay Prime's Wagyu Truffle Cheesesteak?

This wagyu beef ribeye cheesesteak is an elevated take on the traditional cheesesteak. A pound of waygu beef alone costs $75 or even more, but it is famous for its tenderness and flavor. It is sliced and served on a sesame bun with foie gras mousse and truffle butter. The resulting dish is a high-end take on a classic Philly cheesesteak.

The restaurant is located inside the former residence of the Barclay family on posh Rittenhouse Square. Designed by India Mahdavi, the interior of Barclay Prime is an upscale twist on the classic cheesesteak. Aside from the wagyu ribeye, the steak is made using A5 wagyu beef, which is incredibly tender meat. The sandwich is served with a half bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne to wash it down.

The waygu beef is the highlight of the cheesesteak at Barclay Prime. The ribeye steak is served on a sesame roll with foie gras mousse, melted truffle butter, and Caciotta al Tartufo cheese. The resulting masterpiece is the ultimate treat for the taste buds.
