Mineo's Pizza House
The restaurant has been in business since 1958. Founder Giovanni Mineo Sr. came to the United States from a small town in Sicily. He worked for a huckster before starting his own business. He created a family recipe that remains used today in the original Squirrel Hill location.
Mineo's Pizza House has two locations in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The original location is Squirrel Hill, and the second is Mount Lebanon. The original Squirrel Hill location has been open since 1958. The restaurant has been known for its homemade dough, hand-tossed pizzas, and signature cheeses.
