The closure marks the conclusion of a nearly 30-year era for Puck at the Orlando dining and entertainment complex. No replacement for the prime 250-seat restaurant space has been announced, underscoring the end of an era that many have cherished.

A Downtown Disney Mainstay

Puck's original venture at the resort, the Wolfgang Puck Cafe, opened on the West Side of what was then Downtown Disney on September 15, 1997. The massive 22,000-square-foot complex became a wildly popular staple, eventually expanding to include a more casual, quick-service option known as Wolfgang Puck Express.

As Downtown Disney underwent its massive multi-year transformation into Disney Springs, the West Side saw significant overhauls. Recognizing that the original Wolfgang Puck Grand Cafe's days were numbered, the location officially closed on July 31, 2017, after a successful 20-year run.

The Town Center Era

Even as the original location closed, Disney was already charting a new course for the partnership. In March 2017, Disney announced that a modernized Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill would open in the newly developed Town Center section of Disney Springs, reflecting the brand's ongoing legacy and commitment to innovation.

This location opened in November 2018, delivering a contemporary and relaxed dining experience that carried on the brand's legacy. Now, after almost six years of operation, that chapter is ending, closing out three decades of Wolfgang Puck's culinary influence at Disney Springs.Fans and local residents are encouraged to visit before the closure on September 13, 2026, to enjoy the restaurant one last time and celebrate its history.
