 The Z-Man Sandwich is a staple at Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que. It features slow-smoked beef brisket, a layer of smoked provolone, crunchy onion rings, and a sweet and spicy glaze. The origins of the Z-Man sandwich go back to the early days of Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que. At the time, the restaurant was called Oklahoma Joe's. Jeff and Joy Stehney opened the restaurant in a gas station in Kansas City.

Joe's Kansas City BBQ traces its roots to the Kansas City Barbeque Society. It started as a gas station in the city and is now a thriving barbecue restaurant. It has won numerous BBQ championships. They've been named one of Anthony Bourdain's "13 places to eat before you die."



Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que has a history of serving excellent barbecue. They were first known as Oklahoma Joe's. They later renamed themselves Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que.

Joe's Kansas City Bar-B-Que is a family-owned and operated restaurant. The owners, Jeff and Joy Stehney, opened their first location in a gas station in Kansas City.



They opened two more locations, and they still operate today. In 2006, they launched the Kansas City BBQ Store. This BBQ store is a retail outlet offering a variety of barbecue dishes, along with corn bakes, salads, and desserts. The store also offers live cooking demonstrations.

Kansas City-style barbecue dates back to the early 1900s when Henry Perry cooked Midwestern beef for his customers. As the years passed, trained cooks took the legacy of Missouri BBQ and launched their own restaurants.
