– The Philadelphia Zoo’s spectacular winter light show experience, LumiNature Presented by PNC, returns this holiday season for a breathtaking journey celebrating the wonder of wildlife and the beauty of our planet. With more than a million twinkling lights across 16 artistically illuminated zones, LumiNature will delight and inspire guests of all ages with brand-new custom-designed displays and the return of family favorites with added sparkle.
“The holiday season is such an important time to reconnect with what’s important to us, and LumiNature Presented by PNC is designed to do just that,” says Philadelphia Zoo Chief Experience and Marketing Officer Amy Shearer. “This truly magical experience will create unforgettable memories for our guests.”
New this year are two brand-new illuminated zones - Shimmer River and LumiNature Lane - along with fan favorites like Penguin Prismatic featuring a 40 ft. tall penguin glimmering with 40,000 lights; Flamingo Fancy featuring 150,000 sparkling pink and aquamarine lights; Tis the SEAson featuring more than a dozen giant jellyfish in hues of orange, pink and blue; Seasonbration featuring 600 vines of twinkling lights; Flutter Flair featuring five oversized whimsical monarch pavilions; Snake Awake featuring 20 ft. tall snake shimmering with 5,000 lights; Big Cat Stalk featuring stalking eyes of frisky felines appearing and disappearing; Glow with the Flow featuring 200 lit orbs overhead; Our Neck of the Woods featuring community partners decorating trees; Whistle Stop Wonder featuring 200,000 lights above Septa PZ Express Train; Rare Animal Conservation Center featuring 10,000 twinkling lights along its awning; Camp Starfire offering s'mores over an open fire underneath brilliantly lit orbs and sparkling trees; Twilight Savanna featuring video projection on striking rock walls capturing sunrises/sunsets on African plains; Animale Fantasia showcasing cinematic storytelling through projection artistry; plus Santa will be stopping by on December 1st , 8th & 15th from 5:00-8:00pm to take selfies inside Treehouse (free for Zoo members).

Guests should pre-purchase timed tickets at www.philadelphiazoo.org/luminature as tickets vary by visit date (adults 12+ are $25 to $28 & children 2-11 are $20 to $23). Additional add-ons include Nature Blazers Scavenger Hunt powered by TRAKID ($10 per wristband) & Santa Visit ($10 per group).
The adventure begins Friday November 17th through Saturday January 6th from 5:00pm – 8:00pm (closing at 9:00pm or 10:00pm depending on the visit date).
