Visiting The Rocky Steps in Philadelphia

During the 1970s, Sylvester Stallone played the role of Rocky Balboa in a series of films. In the movie, Rocky ended his morning run in the streets of Philadelphia by ascending the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

The steps were featured in the films Rocky I, Rocky II, and Rocky III. Rocky Balboa runs up the steps in his Converse shoes during the movie. When he reaches the top, he celebrates by raising his arms.

When visiting Philadelphia, you can go to the art museum to see the statue of Rocky Balboa. The statue is free to view and is a public attraction. You can also get a photo of the statue.

The Philadelphia Museum of Art was built in 1876 and is one of the largest museums in the United States. It has more than 300,000 pieces of art. It is located along the Schuylkill River in downtown Philadelphia. The museum is open daily.
