The Dallas Arboretum has more than 100 named points of interest. Most groups spend between two and four hours in the garden. The gardens are open daily from 9 am to 5 pm, but the Arboretum is closed for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Dallas Arboretum offers special events and seasonal festivals. The annual Dallas Blooms is the largest floral festival in the Southwest. It features live music, over 500,000 tulips, and topiaries designed to resemble musicians. The Arboretum also has a restaurant, the DeGolyer Tea Room, which serves upscale, locally-sourced eats.
