The home of Dorothy and her family was constructed in 1907 and was recreated to look just like the house in The Wizard of Oz. The 5,000-square-foot house is filled with animated entertainment from the Land of Oz. This attraction is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, Tuesday through Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Seward County Historical Museum has a collection of Oz-related memorabilia from the 1939 MGM musical and early silent films. The collection is also home to early Baum books and Parker Brothers board games. The museum is open to the public, offering inexpensive admission. While you're at the museum, don't miss a showing of the 1939 Wizard of Oz movie, which is continuous.

A five thousand-square-foot building re-creates the iconic home of Dorothy Gale. Animated characters, such as Munchkins, talking trees, and winged monkeys, are featured throughout the exhibit. The Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Cowardly Lion are a few of the characters you can meet. The museum also has an original model of the house, which was used while filming the 1939 film "The Wizard of Oz."
